The Namibian beauty said she came in the country with a negative perception and was surprised to realise the
bad reports about the situation in Zimbabwe were not true.
“I heard that Zimbabwe is in great depression but I am here and it is definitely the opposite. Everything said about this country is not true. People here are friendly and humble and I can’t wait for my second visit,” said Dillish.
“I am enjoying it (her stay here).
I am comfortable here and there is nothing wrong with this beautiful country. I have visited some places here and I loved what I saw. I am comfortable and it is like my second home.”
The launch of the new “Dillish” lip gloss and lipstick collection is scheduled for tomorrow at Arundel Village in Harare.
Dillish said she is happy and honoured about the launch.
“I am excited about the launch and I feel honoured to be working with Vault,” she said.
The humble model said she wishes to open a salon in Zimbabwe, given the opportunity.“I am very business-minded. I am much into hair business and if I get the opportunity I would love to open a business here and employ Zimbabwean girls to work in my salon.
“I think we should all unite, support, encourage and motivate each other so as to build a nation. People should support local products. This is our brand, our African pride so let us take it to another level,” she said.
She jokingly said she would want to go to BBA for the second time if the winning prize is doubled.
“Given a chance, I would want to go back again to Africa’s reality show, but that is if the prize money is doubled. I mean up to US$600 000. Besides that I would only go back for charity.”
She also spoke about her family background. “My mother is from Namibia and my dad is from Kenya.
There were so many rumours about my background and that is all I can say.”
Earlier this year, Dillish featured in Nigerian musician Flavour’s music video called “Ikwokrikwo”.
The video was shot in South Africa and the model acted as Flavour’s leading lady.
