Stand-Up comedian ncube takes dig at muchechetere
STAND-UP comedian Carl Joshua Ncube has taken a dig at suspended Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) chief executive officer Happison Muchechetere following an exposé of his staggering $27 000 salary and close to $13 000 perks — to make the average figure $40 000 a month.
Ncube, who has of late been satirising various personalities including Zimbabwean Hollywood star Danai Gurira, on Tuesday went for Muchechetere head-on on social network Facebook. One of the first posts read: “I want to be ZBC CEO.” The other read: “Are you guys sure the ZBC CEO wasn’t getting R27 000 instead of$27 000? You know how Zim Press is not accurate on details.”He further went into detail of media reports on the day that said Muchechetere’s domestic workers gobbled $2 500 per month appearing to envy being a domestic worker for the ZBC CEO.Ncube also rechristened Happison “HAPPYson”.“No wonder he was called HAPPYson! The HAPPIEST CEO in the country.”He suggested that the figure $27 000 could have been trending on Twitter at the time.
The stand-up comedian then appeared to put the ZBC story into the context of the death of former South African President Nelson Mandela saying: “The contrast of my Facebook timeline: On one hand, people talking about Madiba spending 27 years in prison and on the other hand, Happison Muchechetere spent $27 000 in one month.”Two weeks ago, Ncube went on a rampage ridiculing Gurira whom he had spotted at Avondale Shopping Centre and requested for an autograph. The blunt comedian has in the past blasted Tinopona Katsande for her leaked sex tape, former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and Uebert Angel, among numerous other personalities.
